Microstructure Engineering in Materials (MEM) research group was founded by Dr. Hamed Shahmir in Department of Materials Engineering at Tarbiat Modares University in 2021 to find a profound implication for microstructural engineering and develop novel alloys and processing routes. The main goal of MEM research group has been concentrated on tailoring the microstructure of different metallic materials by controlling different hardening and softening phenomena including twining, phase transformation, recovery/recrystallization and precipitations to achieve the optimum properties. This research group has trained postgraduate students in the field of material science and engineering at the highest levels of quality. In addition, develop, expand and promote engineering sciences and industrial problem solving are considered as the MEM research group mission.
